Moai | Easter Island Tiki 20" (Stained)

Hand carved stained Easter Island tiki figure, the well known Moai carvings that were thought to be carved between 1250 and 1500. Carved from a single piece of monkey pod wood and measures approximately 20 inches tall by 5-1/2 inches wide. This carving has been stained in an antique mission oak.

Original Moai were carved from Volcanic Tuff (Ash) and were chipped away to form the figures know world wide.
