Wooden Hei-Matau Necklace

Our handmade wooden fish hook necklace or "Hei-Matau" in Maori. It features a bead and adjustable cord. This pendant measures about 3 inches tall. The cord adjusts up to approximately 12-1/2 inches. The Matau is a powerful symbol in Maori culture as it represents prosperity, abundance and fertility. The wearer of a Hei-Matau is seen as a provider and protector.
