Makana Hut's Onsite Carver/Artist Richard Morgan Howell. Richard is one of the finest woodcarvers of Hawaiian and Pacific art and sculptures. Richard's wood carving and sculpting career spans more than fifty years from 1966 to the present. All of his work is hand carved and one of a kind pieces of art. Richard is a master carver who has spent life all over the Pacific learning his craft. His pieces of art/carvings have been in numerous galleries throughout Hawai'i.
