This stained Ocean Temple Image, part of the Hawaiian Museum collection, is a replica of the Tiki God Kanaloa standing at 20 inches. Meticulously carved and stained from a single piece of wood, it showcases incredible detail. As the Tiki of the ocean and fishing, Kanaloa holds great significance as one of Hawaii's 4 main Tiki Gods.
This is a classical Kona-Style image. Kona Style faces dominated by snarling mouths and extended nostrils with the parallel carved lines representing the beards.
