A hand crafted dark jade Toki pendant with Koru engraving carved in New Zealand Jade by artist Ewan Parker. It includes an adjustable waxed braid cord and a traditional woven presentation case.
The Toki or adz blade represents a creative person and the bringing together of head, hand and heart.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Ewan Parker & Wayne Turnbull are master jade carvers sharing a studio in a rural town on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island.
Their work is very distinctive with a bold yet elegant style and ranging from very traditional and finely detailed Tiki through to more contemporary renditions of traditional elements such as the Koru and Toki.
They work almost exclusively in New Zealand jades which are known as Pounamu or Greenstone creating amazing wearable art, jewelry and necklaces.
