Ku | Traditional Hawaiian Tiki 40" (Reconditioned)

Crafted from a single solid piece of acacia koa wood, also known as Saman/Raintree, each detail is meticulously carved. KU embodies both positive and negative qualities, symbolizing both honor and strength. He is associated with activities such as warfare, fishing, and agriculture, as well as the mysterious depths of the forest. He is depicted as holding the 'ihe (spear), representing the dual nature of war as both a taker and giver of life, as seen in the traditions of the Bishop Museum in Honolulu.

RECONDITIONED: The Tiki has been updated with a wood notch to replace a previous crack. This repair is discreet and virtually unnoticeable from the front view of the Tiki. Please see last two images.
